TwinCrafting™: Your Company and FraserWood
FraserWood’s goal is to become an extension of your operations. Whether it’s for one project or an ongoing collaboration, FraserWood has developed product and service offerings to meet your needs. One of our good clients coined a term that perfectly describes this partnership structure: TwinCrafting™.
Collaboration with Purpose
Fundamentally, the process of TwinCrafting™ relies on harmoniously meshing the comparative strengths of two firms. It starts with your company making the sale in your market area and ensuring that you have a clear picture of your client’s project goals, including their design objectives.
Beyond this point in the process, FraserWood excels. From sourcing the materials and fabricating the timber to finishing the frame or components, FraserWood brings its superior, focused, cost-effective manufacturing expertise to bear on your project.
Our project leads can help you manage from start to finish, assisting you in completing the timber design, modeling the post & beam structure, developing the costs, and overseeing through delivery. We’ll understand the project and your company—how you frame spaces, design joinery, erect heavy timbers and interact with suppliers.
Because of our experience, sophistication, manufacturing capabilities and volume, we are able to deliver your heavy timber project to you or your client’s site with a fabricated cost at or below your internal production costs.
As we execute more work with your company, we learn how to work most effectively with you to maximize our performance. FraserWood will adapt its internal processes to create a mutually beneficial partnership—one that’s structured on how you run your business.
Of course, your company is best situated to perform the installation in your market area. With your company staying close to the clients and their designs, and FraserWood leveraging your operations, an optimal timber solution will be achieved.
The TwinCrafting™ Process
Custom Work Requires Flexible Solutions
Although we are structured to provide your total operations solution, FraserWood recognizes that there are no one-size-fits-all answers. FraserWood flexes its offerings to meet your specific project requirements.
Some projects demand a comprehensive manufacturing solution, while others require a higher percentage of local or handcrafted attention. FraserWood will work with your company to pick the best twin-crafted solution for each project.
Starting with the design process, FraserWood can support the completion of design and engineering with your choice of designers or with our allied team of professionals. Likewise, we can use your electronic model of the timber components or create one for you that becomes the basis for the manufactured product.
FraserWood can source the material for the project -- drying the timber if needed -- or fabricate material you provide. The fabrication can include finish tapping of the mortises and tenons, pre-fitting of the frame or structure, texturing and finishing of the timbers. Alternatively, any combination of these tasks can be earmarked for your company to complete at your shop.
