Pressure-Washed Logs

Preserving the Natural Beauty of Trees for Your Structure

Pressure WashedWhether used for a decorative centerpiece or for the full post & beam frame in your design, FraserWood’s pressure-washed logs bring an unsurpassed naturalness of shape and texture to a structure.

The removal of only the bark exposes and accentuates the true, natural shape of the tree, including the flared bole for the base of a post. Though there are multiple ways to remove the bark, only peeling or pressure washing achieves this level of authenticity and character. Even a drawknife can be too blunt an instrument for this delicate operation.

FraserWood starts with only forester-selected logs that meet your project requirements for shape, girth and length. These logs are stripped of their bark by high-pressure water jets that expose the sapwood, the layer that retains the sugar and water used by the tree to grow. Unfortunately, under certain temperatures and humidity levels, the sapwood’s sugar and water content also provide the perfect environment for mold and fungus. Here is where FraserWood’s drying capabilities provide you with a superior final product. We thoroughly dry the sapwood to retard the growth of mold and fungus until your fabricator can provide the right environment for the logs.

For a truly natural look that’s protected and preserved by expert drying services, FraserWood is your preferred option.
